Both InnerWish and Iotunn play Brainstorm 2025

Both InnerWish and Iotunn are among the trendsetters of the current metalscene. Both bands released new albums at the end of 2024, and the reception was clear: these are two top-acts! Reason for Brainstorm Festival to secure both bands for the upcoming festival.

InnerWish is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. The band emphasizes power-metal, but further colors it with progressive metal and melodic metal. The new album ‘Ash Of Eternal Flame’ also continues on that path. The band managed to secure a recorddeal with the major Reigning Phoenix Music, and with 95/100 points in Aardschok it can only be concluded that the Greeks have been reborn.

The Danish Iotunn, with singer Jón Aldará (Hamferd) behind the microphone, is the revelation of the past year. With the new album ‘Kinship’ the band is very successful. It’s subdued, it’s hard, it’s melodic, it’s aggressive: Iotunn knows how to forge a whole from all those influences. After their debut-album we already managed to get hold of the band, and with this new banger we are happy to bring Iotunn back.

Brainstorm Festival will be held on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 November at Podium Gigant in Apeldoorn. In addition to performances on the mainstage, special shows can be seen in the accompanying theater hall. The festival also offers space for an exhibition, a metalmarket, clinics, interviews and meet & greets.
