Also special clinics and meet&greets
The timetable for the upcoming Brainstorm Festival has been announced. Neverus opens the festival on Friday early evening and Extol closes on Saturday evening. Check the menu "program – schedule”.
In addition to concerts and interviews, several clinics will take place this year. For example, the drummers of In Vain and Lyrre will provide a drum clinic, and Lyrre-singer Michalina Malisz will show you how to play a hurdy gurdy. There are also a number of meet&greets in the café with different artists. A great opportunity to get an autograph, have your picture taken with your favorite band or just enjoy a chat.
The 16th edition of Brainstorm Festival will take place on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 November in Podium Gigant in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. Besides concerts on the mainstage there is a theaterstage for (acoustic) performances and band-interviews. The festival also offers an exposition, beer tasting sessions and a small cd-market.

SPECIAL EXPOSITION
Kristian ‘Necrolord’ Wåhlin present at Brainstorm Festival
Swedish artist Kristian ‘Necrolord’ Wåhlin will exhibit some of his work during the upcoming Brainstorm Festival in Apeldoorn. Wåhlin is widely known worldwide for the albumcovers he made for bands such as Bathory, Dissection, Amorphis and Ensiferum.
In any case, the albumcovers Necrolord painted for Extol will be on display during Brainstorm Festival. The Norwegian progressive death-metal band will headline our two-day event at Podium Gigant. Necrolord also reflects on his work that he made for Endtime Productions, where Extol was under contract for a long time. The Swedish recordlabel celebrates its 25th anniversary. And undoubtedly there is still much more to admire.
As a bonus Necrolord participates in a conversation in the theaterhall of Brainstorm Festival. There he will tell more about his work and also answer questions from the audience.

ANGELIC FORCES HAS CANCELLED
FlowerLeaf is coming to Brainstorm Festival as replacement
We regret that Angelic Forces has to cancel their performance during the upcoming Brainstorm Festival. One of the band members is struggling with a long-term illness, and the concert in Apeldoorn comes too soon for him.
As a replacement, the Brazilian/German symphonic metalband FlowerLeaf will come to Brainstorm Festival. The band is currently making big steps forward and with their music they make a great fit to our line-up. We therefore think we have found a more than suitable replacement.
FlowerLeaf will therefore take over the place of Angelic Forces and open the second day of the festival on Saturday 4 November. Make sure you arrive there on time to see this new highlight!

BREAKING: DRUMCLINICS AT BRAINSTORM FEST
Drumplayers of In Vain and Lyrre show their skills
We have breaking news: Brainstorm Festival and Drumschool Apeldoorn join forces this year. During Brainstorm Festival on Saturday 4 November both Tobias Solbakk (In Vain) and Adam Partyka (Lyrre) will give a drumclinic. The two drumplayers will show their skills, but also answer questions about life on tour, practising and playing on strange drumkits. But ofcourse the audience can ask their questions as well.
Drumschool Apeldoorn is located directly behind our mainhall and we will take care of showing the exact route from the festival to the drumstudio’s. About 25 people can visit each clinic, so make sure you arrive in time!

SPECIAL GUEST: TIM ZIEGELER
Expert tells us everything about metal and social media
We are very pleased that we will receive a lecture from Tim Ziegeler at Brainstorm Festival this year. He is an authority in the field of social media within the metalscene, and in daily life manages the social media accounts of bands such as Amaranthe, Eluveitie and Dark Tranquility. In our theaterhall he takes artists and audiences into the world of social media.
Social media: a game changer for artists and fans?
Tim from Shineapple Promotion about his lecture: ,,Social media is affecting the way we see things, including art and metal music. It’s also affecting the way bands, festivals and labels promote their music. It’s a game between opportunities and risks, between art and sales, between going viral and creating a shitstorm.’’
Tim Ziegeler’s lecture is scheduled for Saturday, November 4 in our theaterhall.
