Confessions Of A Traitor, Leonov and Angelic Forces confirmed

The English melodic metalcore band Confessions Of A Traitor, the Norwegian post-rock/doom band Leonov and the Dutch 80’s metalband Angelic Forces are confirmed for the 16th edition of Brainstorm Festival. These three bands will all play on Saturday 4 November.

In just a few years time Confessions Of A Traitor built a strong reputation within the UK. Thanks to their success the band inked a deal with Facedown Records. COAT is currently the only European band on the roster of this highly acclaimed American recordlabel. And now for the very first time these fine English gentlemen will play in The Netherlands.

For sure Leonov is not visiting The Netherlands for the first time. In fact the band played twice at Brainstorm Festival already, but also played FemME once. This year Leonov will release a new record, which is more then enough reason to return the band to our theatre for a special atmospheric show of post-rock and doom-metal.

It are not just international bands coming. Angelic Forces are from the north of The Netherlands and will bring their catchy 80’s hardrock to Apeldoorn. Their latest album ‘Arise’ is received well internationally, and for us a very good reason to confirm the band for Brainstorm Festival.

Earlier we already confirmed Extol (progressive death-metal), Xandria (symphonic metal) and Serenity (power-metal) for the 16th edition of Brainstorm Festival, that will take place on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 November in Podium Gigant in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. Besides concerts on the mainstage there is a theaterstage for (acoustic) performances and band-interviews. The festival also offers an exposition, beer tasting sessions and a small cd-market.

Serenity confirmed for Brainstorm Festival

With Serenity another interesting name has been added to the line-up of Brainstorm Festival. The band from Austria will hit the stage on Saturday 4 November. Besides enjoying some great music this is a good opportunity to get some extra history-lessons.

When it comes to the lyrics of Serenity it’s all about history. That doesn’t come as a surprise when you know that vocalist Georg Neuhauser is a history-teacher. But his students doesn’t get their lessons packed so nicely. Serenity has become one of the better symphonic power-metal bands in Europe, and for sure is considered of the favourites for many metalfans.

Extol and Xandria confirmed!

Extol is confirmed as headliner of Brainstorm Festival 2023. The event will take place on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 November in Podium Gigant in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. This is going to be an unique reunion-show, considering the fact that Extol hasn’t been active for many years. Also the German symphonic metalband Xandria will play this years Brainstorm Festival. The band recently released their great new album ‘The Wonders Still Awaiting’.

Extol playing Brainstorm Festival is like a dream coming true. In the late 90’s the band started a rollercoaster that would make them one of the greatest metalbands in Europe. From death-metal to thrash-metal to progressive metal: Extol has done it, and always keeping the quality at the highest level. This exclusive live-show is a once in a lifetime chance for the fans to see Extol live on stage just one more time.

We are also very pleased with the return of Xandria to Brainstorm Festival. The band played our event back in 2017, shortly after the departure of vocalist Dianne van Giersbergen. After some years in silence Xandria returns with vocalist Ambre Vourvahis, and a new great album. This is going to be a wonderful, bombastic symphonic metalshow.
